Party hacks to use all year round that will save you!
Most parties start with invites. You could spend the extra to print out elaborate cards. Lets be honest, most of them end up in the trash. Instead create an event online. This will prevent invitations from becoming lost and it will help you keep track of who you have invited. As a bonus you can also send out party reminders. The best part it is free. I don’t know about you but I like free.
Before the party starts I recommend placing smaller garbage cans around the main areas and clearly labeling recyclables. This will minimize clean up. It will take you less time to determine which was trash or recyclables.
You may be stressed about food options. I recommend always having a pot luck style party. Everyone can bring what they love to share. This will keep you out of the kitchen and mingling with the party. Eventually each person will have a signature dish to please your guests. Making them feel great about their ability and saving you time.
Spending money on music seems silly to me, create your own music file to play. My family and I are addicted to creating fun music files because we can pick different songs or let out list play through.
- Have extra chairs handy
- Keep music at a lower level so your guests do not need to yell to communicate
- Anticipate guests needs. Keep your medicine cabinet stocked and band-aids ready.
- Have a little oops basket set up for spills. This will keep you from rushing to find towels and cleaner.
- Try to talk to each guest even if it is for only a moment.
I would love to hear about great hacks you have!
